Twilight: A Period or State of Gradual Decline

This morning's entry comes to you from SPACE. The space where I sleep when I'm not at work... most of the time.

First, real quick, and foremost, just wanna update you again on what I was watching just a lil' bit ago. Chuck and White Collar. Great shows. If you like TV, you should watch 'em. And if you like good TV, you're already well aware of them. And if you're not, you'd do best to check yourself. Preferably fo' you wreck yourself.

And now the main reason why I've come to you today.

To rant...

13 to 15 year old "tweens" are a pop-culture plague. And sooner or later everything they touch turns to shit. Or cocaine, as it were. They are a force that needs to be dealt with, not harnessed! And as sick as I know that sounds, thats EXACTLY what Hollywood is doing. No big surprise there of course, but it used to be that problems like this were confined (read quarantined) to outlets like the Disney Channel or Boy Bands. Thanks to the bane that is Twilight, this is no longer the case.
Apparently nobody makes mo' money like Rob Pattinson. We have him to thank for all the new Twilight fans who can't read (and now they never have to!). Hey, you know who could use a loyal fanbase of ravenous preteens? Spider-Man! That's who! Surely you've heard the rumors. Ain't like Spidey was gonna make ANY money on his own.
Hmm. That's funny... I don't see Twilight anywhere on that list. Oh wait, there it is. All the way down at #35. Had to scroll down a bit. Heh, I guess I must've missed it when I was all like, "FUCK YOU TWILIGHT!! NERDS FTW, BITCHZOR!!!1!!1!!!"
So I guess what I'm trying to say is, and indeed what nerds everywhere are collectively saying, Rob Pattinson is not the peanut butter to my friendly neighborhood chocolate. No, I think he's more like week old tuna, glistening in the sun; much in the way vampires tend to nowadays.

In summation, I leave you with this. Just something to think about.
